Answer:

Answer:

Let the 1st part be Rs = x

2nd part is = 12000 - x

Given,

the interest on initial half for 2 years = 6 %

According to formula

SI = PRT / 100

\frac{x X 2 X 6}{100} =\frac{12x}{100}

100

xX2X6

=

100

12x

Interest on 2nd part for 3 years = 8 %

Interest for 1st part = (12000-x)× 3× 8 /100 = 24 (12000-x) /100

according to question,

=>12x /100 = 24(12000-x) /100

=> 12x /100 = 24(12000-x) /100=> x =2(12000-x)

=> 12x /100 = 24(12000-x) /100=> x =2(12000-x) => 3x =2400

=> 12x /100 = 24(12000-x) /100=> x =2(12000-x) => 3x =2400=> x =8000

The first half is Rs 8000 and second half is Rs 4000
