Let the first part be Rs x
Then the second part is Rs (12000 – x)
Given that interest on first part for 2 years = 6%
Recall the simple interest formula I = (PTR)/100
Hence Interest for first part
Given that interest on second part for 3 years = 8%
Hence the first part is Rs 8000 and the second part is Rs 4000.
Then the second part is Rs (12000 – x)
Given that interest on first part for 2 years = 6%
Recall the simple interest formula I = (PTR)/100
Hence Interest for first part
Given that interest on second part for 3 years = 8%
