Let the ratio be 2a,3a and 5a respectively.
Now,
2a+3a+5a=2000
10a=2000
a=200

Hence,
P=2a=400
Q=3a=600
R=5a=1000
Thats it!!!
Hope it helps!!!!

Given,

Rs. 2000 are divided among P, Q, and R in the ratio 2:3:5

To find,

The money to be given to P, Q and R.

Solution,

The money given to P, Q and R will be Rs. 400, Rs. 600 and Rs. 1000 respectively.

We can easily solve this problem by following the given steps.

According to the question,

Rs. 2000 are divided among P, Q, and R in the ratio 2:3:5.

Now, let's take their amount to be Rs. 2x, 3x and 5x respectively.

So,

2x+3x+5x = 2000

10x = 2000

x = 2000/10 ( 10 was in the multiplication on the left-hand side. So, it is in the division on the right-hand side.)

x = 200

Now,

The amount of P = Rs. 2x

The amount of P = Rs. (2×200)

The amount of P = Rs. 400

The amount of Q = Rs. 3x

The amount of Q = Rs. (3×200

The amount of Q = Rs. 600

The amount of R = Rs. 5x

The amount of R = Rs. (5×200)

The amount of R = Rs. 1000

Hence, the money given to P, Q and R is Rs. 400, Rs. 600 and Rs. 1000 respectively.
