Given : Rs 21866 Divided into twpo Parts such that Amount of one in 3 years = amount fo another in 5 years at 5% Compound interest

To find :  Each Part

Solution:

Let say one part  = P  Rs  ( for 5 years)

and another Part = 21866 - P   Rs  for ( 3 years)

using A = P(1 + R/100)ⁿ

n = number of years  = 5 & 3

R = Rate of interest  = 5 %

P(1 + 5/100)⁵  =  (21866 - P)(1 + 5/100)³

=> P(1.05)² = 21866 - P

=> 2.1025 = 21866

=> P = 10400

one Part = Rs 10400

Another part = 21866 - 10400  = 11466 Rs

Rs 10400  & Rs 11466
