Answer:

suppose first part 24000

second part is 24000-x

then

I=24000×15×1/100=3600

and

I=(24000-x)×18×1/100

after solving we get

x=21500

so now second part will be

24000-21500=2500

Step-by-step explanation:

now if we calculate 18% on 2500 we get 450

so total amount will be 3600+450=4050 (proved)

I1 + I2 = 4050

Let first part be x

then second part = 24000 - x

R1 = 15% and R2 = 18%

t = 1 yr

I = PRT/100

P1 = x and P2 = 24000 - x

I1 = x × 15 × 1/100 = 15x/100

I2 =(24000 - x) × 18 × 1/100 = (432000 - 18x)/100

I1 + I2 = 15x/100 + (432000 - 18x)/100 =

(432000 - 3x)/100 = 4050

432000 - 3x = 405000

3x = 27000

x = 9000

So 1st part = x = ₹9000

and 2nd part = 24000 - 9000 = ₹15000
