1) Let the 1st part be x.
P = x, R = 5%, T = 5.
We know that I = PRT/100
= x * 5 * 5/100
= x/4 ---- (1).
2) Let the 2nd part be (15600 - x).
P = 15600 - x, R = 9/2%, T = 6.
We know that I = PRT/100
= (15600 - x) * 9 * 6/200
= (15600 - x) * 54/200
= (15600 - x) * 27/100 ---- (2).
On solving (1) and (2), we get
x/4 = (15600-x) * 27/100
100x/4 = (15600 - x)*27
25x = 421200 - 27x
x = 421200/52
= 8100.
If the 1st part = 8100 then the 2nd part is 15600 - 8100 = 7500.
Hope this helps! :-))
