x/4 = 27y/100
x/4 × 100 = 27y
25x = 27y
x=27y/25
Taking the first equation and substituting the value of x we get--
x + y = 15,600
27y/25 + y = 15,600
52y/25 = 15,600
52y = 390,000
y = 390,000/52 = 7500
so,x + y = 15,600
x + 7500 = 15,600
