let the first part be x

then the second part is (1750-x)

we know that S.I=p×r×t/100

Now, S.I for the first part=x×15×2/100

=30x/100

Since, S.I for the second part=(1750-x)×16×3/100

=(1750-x)×48/100

total sum of interest, given as Rs 624

since. 30x/100+(1750-x)×48/100=624

& 30x+84000-48x/100=624

& 30x-48x=624×100

& -18x=62400-84000

& -18x=-21600

& x=1200

Thus, the first part=x= Rs1200

And the second part= 1750-x

= Rs 1750-1200

=Rs 550
