Let x+1=0

x=-1

p(x)=3x⁴-2x³+5x²-3

p(-1)=3(-1)⁴ - 2(-1)³+5(-1)²-3

=3-(-2)+5-3

=3+2+5-3=7

Thus, by remainder theorem, remainder on dividing p(x) by (x+1) is 7.
