x + 1= 0 => x = -1

P ( -1 ) - r = 0
Polynomial =x^3+3x^2 -3x-1
Therefore
-1^3 +3 × -1 ^2 -3 ×-1 - 1 -r =0
-1 +3+3-1 = r
Remainder = 4
