Hey there !!
Sum of –1/4 and –8/12 ⤵
– 1 / 4 + ( – 8 / 12 )
= – 1 / 4 – 8 / 12
= ( – 3 – 8 ) / 12
= – 11 / 12
Product of –1/4 and –8/12 ⤵
– 1 / 4 × – 8 / 12
= 8 / 48
= 1 / 6
Now, dividing the sum of –1/4 and –8/12 to their product ⤵
( – 11 / 12 ) ÷ ( 1 / 6 )
= – 11 / 12 × 6 / 1
= – 11 / 2
