p(x)= x^2 - 3x + 2

g(x)= a - 1

The root or zero of g(x) is 1.

So p(1) will give the remainder .

p(1) = 1^2 - 3(1) + 2

      = 1-3+2

      = 0

So a-1 is a factor of p(x)

NOTE: This is done by remainder theorem we can also divide it by the normal method.
