Answer:

p(x)= x^2-4x-5

q(x)= x+1

=>x=-1  putting the value of q(x) in p(x)

=> p(-1)= (-1)^2- 4(-1) -5

=>1+4-5

=>5-5 =>0

hence x+1 divides p(x) completely and leaves the remainder 0.

i know its not the correct answer but it is the way that if it completely divides or not.

hope it helps you: )
