x³+3x²-5x+4 divided by x-2

X - 2| x³ + 3x² - 5x + 4 | x² + 5x + 5

        x³ - 2x²

      ------------------------

               5x² - 5x + 4

               5x² - 10x

        ------------------------

                   5x + 4

                    5x - 10

                ------------------

                            14

Verification:-

Dividend =. Divisor × Quotient +

Remainder

= (x - 2) ×(x² + 5x + 5) + 14

= x³ + 5x² + 5x - 2x² - 10x - 10 + 14

= x³ + 3x² - 5x + 4
