We know that ,

Dividend = Divisor x Quotient + Remainder

(-x³ + 3x² - 3x + 5 )= (-x²+x-1)*(x - 2)+3

Taking R.H.S

-x² + x -1 * (x -2) +3

-x³ + 2x² + x² - 2x - x + 2 + 3

-x³ + 3x² - 3x + 5

we get,

L.H.S = R.H.S
