we can factorise x^2- 3x+54=x^2+6x-9x+54= x(x+6)-9(x+6)=(x-9)(x+6) now divide it by (x-6) you will get x-9

let,
P(x)=0
x-6=0
x=6
P(x)=x^2+3x-54
P(x)=6^2+3*6-54
P(x)=36+18-54
P(x)=54-54
P(x)=0
