hi mate,

solution

Polynomial Long Division

Dividing : x^4 - 3x^3 - x^2 + 3

("Dividend")

By : x - 1 ("Divisor")

dividend x^4 - 3x^3 - x^2 +3

- divisor * x^3 x^4 - x^3

remainder - 2x^3 - x^2 + 3

- divisor * -2x^2 - 2x3 + 2x2

remainder - 3x^2 + 3

- divisor * -3x^1 - 3x^2 + 3x

remainder - 3x + 3

- divisor * -3x^0 - 3x + 3

remainder 0

Quotient : x^3-2x^2-3x-3

Remainder: 0

Final result :

x^4 - 3x^3 - x^2 + x + 3

—————————————————————

x

i hope it helps you.
