let Divya sold X tickets

∴shefali sold  11/4X tickets

ATP

X + 11/4X  =rs.4200

4X+11X=16800   [ both sides multiplying by lcm=4]

15X=16800

X=16800/15

X=1120...................................Divya sold  tickets        ANS

11/4X= 11*1120/4 =3080.........shefali sold  tickets        ANS

let Divyas tickets  be T

so, Shefalis tickets will be 11/4T

BTQ

11/4T+T =Rs.4200

11T +4T=16800

15T=16800

T=16800/15

T=1120

11/4T=  3080   {putting the value of T = 1120 we get}

Divya sold  tickets 1120        ans

Shefali sold  tickets 3080      ans
