Divya observed a horse pulling a cart. She thought that cart also pulls the horse with<br />same force in opposite direction. As per third law of motion the cart should not move<br />forward. Newton's third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. A horse cart moves in the same direction it is pulled, this raises a question that why is the force not opposite. When a horse is pulling the cart, the wheels of the cart apply for in the backward direction, so the ground applies equal and opposite force in the foreward direction.So this is why a horse cart moves in foreward direction.
