Do all alpha particles pass through the gold foil?

This is solely dependent on the thickness of the foil
Rutherford used a foil of gold a few Pico metres thick.
Thus most of the alpha particles passed through the foil.
But never can all the alpha particles pass through as at least one will be hitting the foil and will be absorbed
