Not at all, there are different ways we can fall sick apart from coming into contact with a sick person. We become sick when our bodies well being is compromised. This can occur when:
i) we get directly injured when we get involved in a traumatic incidence like falling or being hit. In this case as well our normal well being is interfered with.
ii)We can also fall ill when our bodies get attacked by pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses. These infectious organisms can be contracted in the environment directly and not necessarily when we come into contact with sick people.
iii)Our bodies can also turn against us and fight itself. Such diseases are referred to as autoimmune diseases - where the body attacks itself.

Hey!!
Thanks for the question!!

Here is the answer..

It depends on the type of sickness.
For example,
If it's a cold , be sure that you are not near them when they are coughing or sneezing.

Similarly, if someone is suffering from cancer,
Cancer is a non communicable disease, hence it cannot pass or spread one people to another.

But, Infectious diseases are transmitted from person to person by direct or indirect contact of person.

Also,

1. Through Direct contact :

Diseases which are spread by direct contact are called contagious diseases . They can also be spread through objects touched by the infected person.

2. Through indirect contact :

Infectious diseases can also be spread indirectly through the air or any other means.

Hence, it's not like that all diseases spread to people comming in contact with a sick person.

I hope my answer helped!!

Thanks!
