YES!!! All substance changes to gaseous form on certain temperature. This due to on heating all molecules expand and are converted into gaseous state.
Even table gets melted when it reaches a certain temperature.

lovely09: yes but it certainly does not melt as u have said earlier :)
lovely09: it turns into gas directly.. there's no place for melting here!
kvnmurty: sublimation also exists..
lovely09: I said that only
lovely09: when did I question the existing of sublimation?! xD
lovely09: existence*
lovely09: and some substance do not under go liquid state hence do not undergo melting. When anything solid turns into a gas without first becoming liquid, that's sublimation. just Fyi
PrithishS: hence your answer is wrong
PrithishS: pssst.change it before any one sees
lovely09: how is my answer wrong!?

Answer:

  • No,All substances do not change from solid to liquid and from liquid to gas.
  • Substances such as camphor and ammonium chloride change from solid to gaseous state of on heating.
  • Solid camphor on heating changes to directly from solid state to gaseous state and vice versa without passing through liquid state.
  • This phenomenon is called "sublimation".
