In an attempt to return what Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had said about him, AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was at his cool best and was selective in picking up his words. A day after KCR are said that Chandrababu Naidu had robbed the Telugu Desam Party from N T Rama Rao by a backstabbing attempt, the AP chief minister said that KCR was the chief strategist for all that had happened in the Viceroy Hotel, where the TDP had successfully executed a coup against NTR and made Naidu the boss.
Viceroy Hotel incident had been the most uncomfortable issue for Naidu to refer to at any point of time since he took over the party from NTR in August 1995. He is branded as backstabber and that is part of the history of Andhra Pradesh and that of the TDP too.
Though he had tried to erase that image on him and the party as well by calling that revolt as an attempt to save the party, he never liked to make any reference to that incident. But, this time, he did not hesitate to recall it and attribute that to KCR. He further said that KCR had stayed with him after the Viceroy Hotel incident and had become a Minister in his Cabinet.
Chandrababu Naidu said that KCR, who was given political life in the TDP was now working to destroy the party. He further said that the Telangana Rastra Samithi chief had joined hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy to destroy the TDP, which they can never succeed. He further said that Modi, KCR and Jagan were working together against the TDP and asserted that he was not scared of any conspiracy.
Naidu further said that KCR was acting at the behest of Narendra Modi to help Jaganmohan Reddy. He also said that KCR had planned for a big role in the national politics in the name of federal front. However, he could not make any step forward even after meeting Odisha chief minister Navin Patnaik and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Benerji. "KCR is now in frustration as his work did not yield any positive result. The frustration was shown in the comments against me," Chandrababu Naidu said.
