∴ Vertical component V = R sinθ   ---- (1)

∴ Horizontal component H = R cosθ   ----- (2)

Given that,

Vertical component is equal to horizontal component.

∴ V = H

Divide the equations (1) by (2), we get

⇒ sinθ/cosθ = V/V

⇒ tanθ = 1

⇒ tanθ = tan 45°

⇒ θ = 45°

Therefore,

Angle made by vector with x - axis = 45°
