a) -3/8+5/7
cross multiplying we get,
= -3×7+5×8/8×7
= -21+40/56
=19/56
=0.33
b)13/25-4/5
simplifying into same denominator
multiplying both numerator and dinominator with 5 we get,
=13/25-4×5/5×5
=13/25-20/25
=13-20/25
= -7/25
= -0.28
Hope you got it. :)

Hello ,

The answers you require are given below
MARK IT AS THE BRAINLIEST

Solution A
  = \frac{ - 3}{8}  +  \frac{5}{7}  \\  =  \frac{ ( - 3 \times 7) + (5 \times 8)}{8 \times 7}  \\  =  \frac{ - 21 + 40}{56}  \\  =  \frac{19}{56}
L.C.M. of 8 and 7 is 56
So, we will make their denominators same by multiplying the number which is required to get the L.C.M. . We will multiply the same number to the numerator also.

Solution B

  = \frac{13}{25}  -  \frac{4}{5}  \\  =  \frac{13 - (4 \times 5)}{25}  \\  =  \frac{13 - 20}{25}  \\  =  -  \frac{7}{25}
L.C.M. of 5 and 25 is 25
So, we will make their denominators same by multiplying the number which is required to get the L.C.M. . We will multiply the same number to the numerator also.
