circumference and radius are two different things.

CIRCUMFERENCE - The perimeter or boundary of a Circle.

RADIUS - The Distance from the center of a circle to a Point on its boundary

hi friend
here's your answer looking for

no ,the circumference and the radius of the cylinder are two different things.

here as you are asking about radius and circumference of radius, so let's discuss that:-

RADIUS OF CYLINDER :- if we see the bottom and the upper part of the cylinder then, we can find two circles. and the radius of that circle is called as radius of cylinder.

diameter = 2 \times radius

CIRCUMFERENCE OF CYLINDER :- if we see the bottom and upper part of the cylinder then, we will find two circles. and the circumference of that circle is called as the circumference of cylinder.

circumfrence = 2 \: \pi \: r

if you multiply the height to the circumference then we get the lateral surface area of the cylinder.

LATERAL SURFACE AREA OF CYLINDER =
2 \: \pi \: r \: h

hope you are satisfied with my answer
