Do computers have the ability to be creative?
Answers
We define creativity as something different, unlike and unusual from the general Layman thinking. Computers have been designed by humans themselves. Computers are what the sum total of ideas of different human beings evolved out as an output. Computers do not have an ability to create anything else not designed to humans. Many feel, in fact, that whereas computers can excel in well-structured areas of problem solving - e.g. logic, algebra, etc. - they have little hope of ever producing truly creative work. For a work to be creative, it must be novel and useful- this represents an enormous challenge for AI.
