The reason for high blood pressure in these fishes is somewhat similar to their human counterparts.Their high blood pressure counteracts the high pressure exerted by sea water. The pressure exerted by a fluid is directly proportional to the depth ,so pressure on fishes living deeper in seas will be higher than those living on the surface. So they will have a higher blood pressure to counteract the increased pressure. This system is similar in humans. Our blood pressure counteracts atmospheric pressure that the atmosphere exerts on us.
