HLO MATE HERE IS UR ANSWER
⭐. Meiosis takes place only in diploid stage.
⭐. Because zygote is the only diploid cell in life cycle of such organisms.
⭐. In haploid organisms diploid zygote is formed after fertilization by sexual reproduction .
⭐. The diploid zygote undergoes meisois to produce haploid spores or zoo spores .
⭐. These zoo spores then undergo mitosis to grow into a mature haploid gametophyte.
