do identical version with steel and the other is a magnet are painted with this how can you tell which one is the magnet using only this

hello friend if you have 2 magnets then it will be easy if any attraction or repulsion will be felt then u can easily tell. which one is magnet


but if u have only one magnet then suspend it to a string if it will point in same direction after touching it then it would surely be a magnet .
