do mesophylls themselves perform calvins cycle, in addition to the C4 photosynthesis, for obtaining their glucose?

yes, after they absorb carbon dioxide from the bundle sheath, they perform calvin cycle in the mesophyll cells.

Trisula: u mean they first give maltase to the bundle sheath, then absorb some part of the co2 produced?
pupcheese: as far as I know, the PEP molecules absorb carbon dioxide due to lack for RuBisCo and then after a series of steps give out carbon dioxide to the bundle sheath, where calvin cycle is carried. Hope this helps you. I'm sorry i dont know anymore.
