A CATERPILLAR IS A LARVAL STAGE OF LEPIDOPTERA, OR MOTHS AND BUTTERFLY. THE ANSWER IS YES BECAUSE CATERPILLAR IS THE PRIMARY STAGE OF MOTH. MUCH LIKE BUTTERFLY, MOTH LARVA, OR CATERPILLAR MAKE COCOONS FROM WHICH THEY EMERGE AS FULLY GROWTH MOTH WITH WINGS. SO MOTH CAME FROM A CATERPILLAR.
