To Prove: AD bisects ∠BAC of ∆ABC.

Proof: In ∆DBC,

∵ ∠DBC = ∠DCB ...(1) | Given

∴ DB = DC ...(2)

In ∆ABC,

∵ AB = AC | Given

∴ ∠ABC = ∠ACB

Subtracting (1) from (3), we get,
