      generally we iron the dry clothes as it will be fast enough to iron where as if we iron wet clothes then more energy wil be taken by iron box so we should not be iron wet clothes

Since the wet clothes have water molecules present in it when we iron it we get shock since the water is the good conductor of electricity we get shock.Hence,we should not iron wet clothes .
