Answer:

“Do not let rain water collect in puddles and empty tins. The female mosquito may lay eggs in them.”

Explanation:

It is said that mosquitos lay its eggs in water. They need water to lay eggs and to grow them. People are dependent on rain barrels to store rainwater which is then used during the periods of summer or dry season. Mosquitos can easily thrive in areas hit by floods or heavy rains.

So, we should frequently check whether the rainwater has drained away and whether there are any empty tins or flower pots full of water in our gardens or any open spaces.

Many don't know the fact that rain barrels are not designed to store water; rather the stored water is supposed to be used immediately as this is one of the reasons why mosquitos breed in large numbers. So it shouldn't be left open.

In short, if we realise that the more we destroy any potential places to allow the mosquitos to breed, the less chance we have of falling ill.
