A departmental Store works in 3 Shifts of 4 Hour Each. first shift begins at 8 Am . if in first shift incoming Customers is 10 per hour and outgoing 2 per Hour , in Second shift incoming 18 per hour and outgoing 12 per hour and in third shift incoming is 5 per hour and outgoing 20 per hour Answer the following : question 1 : when are the Maximum number customers present at Any time? question2. how many are still inside the store at closing moment at 8 pm. i) in the first shift !

as the difference between the incoming and outgoing of customers are higher in this first shift than the other two. ( 10-2 = 8 )

ii) We know by logic , that if there are customers in the first and the second shift accumulated together , by the end of the time period of both the shifts, they will have to go home . So , now the last shift works till 8pm, and the customers accumulated at the end of every hour = 5-20 = -15 or ...we can say that there are 0 persons at the end of each hour in the third shift. so the last working hour of the 3rd shift is 7pm to 8pm = one hour . now when it becomes 7pm to 8pm , there are no customers .

so by adding the number of customers in the whole store , we get 0 customers.
