Do old people go to old age homes on their own or are they forced to go there
Answers
Answer:
sometimes the old people go to the old age homes on their own when there is no one to care for them. perhaps their children live abroad or they do not care for their parents or have no time to look after them after the busy day at work. sometimes people do not want to live with their parents and want to loose the'burden' they have because of their old parents.this is the time when the people force their parents to live in the old age homes.the most bad thought people have is that they think a lot of money is being wasted after the medicine they have to buy for them.
however people don't understand it is the love and care of their children that the parents crave for and not money.neither do they want to be a burden on their children

Short answer: some are forced by circumstances like poor health or cognitive decline, some go by choice. My wife and I live in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). We moved here by choice over ten years ago and expect to spend the rest of our lives here. We're still very independent, with many interests and activities in the wider community, but we know that eventually (and inevitably) that independence will start slipping away and we'll need more and more help with our activities of daily life, like cooking, cleaning, etc. When that happens, we'll move up (or down, depending on one's perspective) the continuum of care to home health care, then assisted living, and finally to hospice, all in pretty much the same location. That's the plan, at any rate.
