Heyya!!

Here is your answer!!

Answer:

Certainly India has instances of Color discrimination at a vast scale. Even though we have a majority of population dark skinned… Even then whether they be the matrimonial sites, or they be the Bollywood film industry, whether it be the audition of a small scale fashion show at any college, or even the act of friendship… For most of these cases (exceptions always exists) the first thing comes to point, he/she is too dark skinned.. Won't fit the profile

And if you say being a dark skinned guy is pain… I can't even explain how it's like for a dark skinned girl…

As so well stated in the other answer, the marriage articles have this necessary additional.. ‘ want a fair skinned, or beautiful bride for a guy.. age something doing something’

Hypocrisy is this that beauty is measured by how much bright you look… or how much good looking you are!

If skin colour does matter… Why do the same people follow JLo, Sam Jackson, even the superstar Rajinikanth…

And to be frank.. I have seen this complexion trend a bit more predominant in the northern regions compared to South India. Don't know the reason for this but it exists

Beauty isn't what you see… Coz all this withers away if not now then in some 10 20 years…

What stays always beautiful is the person inside! That is the beauty which lasts forever..

Peace!!

Hope it helps you!!
