Given :    \frac{x^2-9x+14}{x-2} \div  \frac{3x^2-21x}{x+9}

To Find :  Simplify

Solution:

\frac{x^2-9x+14}{x-2} \div  \frac{3x^2-21x}{x+9}

= \frac{x^2-9x+14}{x-2}  \times \frac{x+9}{3x^2-21x}

Factorize x² - 9x + 14

= (x - 7)(x - 2)

Take common 3x in 3x² - 21x

= 3x(x - 7)

= \frac{(x-7)(x-2)}{x-2}  \times \frac{x+9}{3x(x-7)}

Cancel (x - 7)  & ( x- 2) from denominator & numerator

= \frac{1}{1}  \times \frac{x+9}{3x}

= \frac{x+9}{3x}

\frac{x^2-9x+14}{x-2} \div  \frac{3x^2-21x}{x+9} = \frac{x+9}{3x}
