Do photosynthetic reactions such as dark reactions require light? Explain.

No, these reactions don't need light ( sunlight ) in dark phase. It only needs energy. But in light phase the sunlight is required for the process of photosynthesis.

■ Photosynthesis is divided into two parts:

●Light-dependent reactions (light reactions)

● Light-independent reactions (dark reactions).

■Dark reactions

This reaction represents the transfer of matter: carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, water from the soil or atmosphere, into sugar in the plant and oxygen back into the atmosphere.

Thus ,it doesn't depended on light .
