Endocytosis does happen in plant cells.

It helps in the transportation of material inside the plant cell such protein, lipids extra-cellular molecules. Recent studies have shown that endocytosis plays a major role in multiple cellular processes such as cell signaling nutrient uptake and signal transduction.
