Answer:

Yes, these kinds of situations arise in our day-to-day life as we as human beings tend to see every situation with only our perspective not trying to understand the reality or the perspective of others, leading to fights, and unfortunate incidents.

Explanation:

Now, how does this story relate to us, our happiness, and the way we see the world? Yes, you guessed it: we are blind people and elephants are reality.

  • We were born blind, not visually blind, because of the very narrow, tightly tuned windows for recognizing and knowing the world. Our physical sensations are great and very convenient, but  fragile and limited. Not only are they prone to making mistakes in what they perceive, but there is such a great  reality that they cannot even perceive.
  • We only see a very subjective, personal, and relative perspective of reality. Our view of the world is completely subjective, as we only know what we come into direct or indirect contact with, how things interact with us, and what we do. It is always related to ourselves because of the interdependence of how  we interact with it. Not from an objective point of view.
  • So why is it important? Our thoughts, feelings, actions, values, and ultimately our happiness and suffering, what we see the world, what we believe it works, what it is important because it depends on what you believe  and what you believe  causes  happiness and suffering.
  • And when the world is misunderstood and delusional,  we  have dysfunctional and destructive thoughts, feelings, actions, values, and even more unnecessary suffering, leading to true happiness. It will act as a barrier for ourselves and others.

Example: If this blind person continues to believe that the elephant is a rope,  he may try to tie it with a knot, which not only does not work but also hurts the animal and  probably gives him  good results. Then kick. Or you may hit  a pillar like a tree trunk, hurting the animal as well as wasting your time and resources. Thus, a wrong perspective can lead to deterioration.
