Age of the new player = 23.1 year

Given:

A new player joins the team and raises the mean age to 22.

To find:

Age of the new player.

Formula used:

Mean =  \frac{Sum\ of\ all\ term }{total\ no\ of \ term\ }

Explanation:

The original mean of the player when new player is not come.

There are total number of player are 11 out of that 19 age member are 2,

20 age member are 3, 21 age member are 1,  22 age member are 4, 23 age member are 1

So,      Mean = \frac{19\times 2+ 20\times 3+ 21\times1 + 22\times 4 +23\times 1 }{11} = 20.90 age

If we add new member consider the age of new member = x

the mean age to 22  so new mean = \frac{mean\ of\ 11\ member + x}{2}

                                                22 = \frac{20.90+x}{2}

                                               22×2 = 20.90 +x

                                                 x = 44-20.90

                                                 x = 23.1 year

Age of the new player = 23.1 year
