Explanation:

Energy Consumption( work) = 1000 J

Time = 10 sec

POWER = Work/ Time

= 1000/10

= 100 watt

Now according to question

if the lamp is used for 8 hours in a day

8 hours= 8 ×60×60 second

now work = power× time

energy consumption (work) in a day =

100×( 8×60×60)

= 2880000 joule

now energy consumption (work) in a April month(30 days)

= 30 × 2880000 joule

= 86400000 joule

= 8.64× 10^7 joule.....

I m converting all the parameter in joule and second You can also convert into Kwh..

Thank u..

Power = Work /time

So, Power = 1000/ 10

Here we take 1000 J as work because work is also a form of energy

Power = 100 J/sec

For 8 hrs = 8× 60min × 60 sec

= 28800 secs

There are 30 days in April

So time = 30×28800

= 86400 secs

Power = Work /time

100× 86400 = Work

864 × 10⁴ Joule = Work

So total energy consumed in April is 864 × 10⁴
