QUESTION ASKED -

In a group of students , the ratio of 9: 7 like music and sports. Out of which , 25 liked both the activities , 20 liked music only and 15 Liked non of them .

• find total number of students in group ?

FORMULA USED HERE -

n( m u s) = n( m) + n( s) - n( m n s)

Solution :

n( m u s) = 45 + 35 - 25

n( m u s) = 55

so,

n ( U ) = 55 + 15

= 70 answer

Therefore : total number of student is 70

HERE,

n( M n s) = 25

n ( U) = 70

n( M) only = 20

n ( S) only = 10

n ( M u S) compliment = 15
