Answer :

Division of the mixed fraction :-

a) \dfrac{2}{3} ÷ \dfrac{1}{5}

= \dfrac{2}{3} ÷ \dfrac{1}{5}

= \dfrac{2}{3} × 5

= \dfrac{10}{3}

= 3\dfrac{1}{3}

\rule{200}{2}

b) \dfrac{2}{3} ÷ \dfrac{1}{6}

= \dfrac{2}{3} ÷ \dfrac{1}{6}

= \dfrac{2}{3} × 6

= 2 × 2

= 4

Note :- It cannot be changed into mixed fraction because it is completely divisible.

\rule{200}{2}

c) \dfrac{3}{8} ÷ \dfrac{3}{4}

= \dfrac{3}{8} ÷ \dfrac{3}{4}

= \dfrac{3}{8} × \dfrac{4}{3}

= \dfrac{1}{2} × \dfrac{1}{1}

= \dfrac{1}{2}

Note - It cannot be changed to mixed fraction because the numerator is smaller then the denominator.

\rule{200}{2}

d) \dfrac{</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>}{</strong><strong>6</strong><strong>} ÷ \dfrac{</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>}{</strong><strong>3</strong><strong>}

= \dfrac{5}{6} ÷ \dfrac{2}{3}

= \dfrac{5}{6} × \dfrac{3}{2}

= \dfrac{5}{2} × \dfrac{1}{2}

= \dfrac{5}{4}

= 1\dfrac{1}{4}
