Answer:

ORIGINAL AMOUNT OF SALT IN SOLUTION = 20% of 60 litres

= 12 litres

AMOUNT REQUIRED =

40% OF SOLUTION

=> 24 litres  

SO AMOUNT TO BE ADDED = 12 LITRES

OR DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT
