Yes, I do have a friend living in a slum. The problems he speaks of relate to the abysmal conditions there. The prime ones are the irregular and low income of his parents, the struggling lives of children due to lack of parental care, unhygienic conditions of living and sanitation, lack of electricity and potable water, pests like mosquitoes, flies and rodents infiltrating the entire area and so on.
