No, Rafferty did not have a story for his paper The Times. The strange creatures disappeared into space hurriedly. He didn't get item to Photograph them. Without a photograph of those creatures his reporting would not be convincing at all. He left without a story,dejected and unhappy.

Rafferty has the biggest story in the world. He saw real spacemen before his eyes.
