Yes the end is justified in the poem The Frog and the Nightingale because ---

The Nightingale didn't have self confidence. She was a creature who could be easily influenced. The frog was cunning and took advantage of nightingale's foolishness. This resulted in her death.
One should have self confidence in one's own abilities. If we lean on someone and get influenced ,it will only harm us in the long run.
So this also happened with Nightingale.

The end of the poem doesn't appeal to the sensitive mind of the reader as one feel sorry for the poor nightingale. However, as the poet wishes to convey the message to the gullible people that one should be more worldly wise, he is justified in giving such an end to the poem as this tragic element brings home the idea very well.  ( ˘ ³˘)♥( ˘ ³˘)♥ Hope it helps!!
